Therapy
My Principals
A Dog's Choice
I allow all dogs to choose if they would like to be treated. This means that I treat dogs on the floor, or a low sofa or bed, at their level. If a dog moves away from this area at any time during the treatment period, I will not chase the dog around the room, and I do not restrain dogs to apply treatment. By using this principle, I hope to quickly build up a trusting and open communicative relationship with the dog.
Owner Involvement
It is important for owners to be involved in their dog's treatment plan. The enables dogs to have continued support in between appointments, and also helps the dog to feel reassured and relaxed throughout.
Knowledge and Training
I am trained at a high level in dog anatomy and physiology, which is then applied within a functional application capacity. I have a high understanding of how a dog moves, their body systems, and how pain and stress can affect the body as a whole, and a dog's behaviour. This knowledge enables me to apply dog-centric and choice led treatments.
Knowledge Sharing
My primary concern is your dog's health and wellbeing. It is important to share information to your vet on a regular basis, as well as seek guidance and support from other professionals, if necessary, to ensure your dog receives the best all round care.
Continual Development
I am continually updating my knowledge and learning, and will adapt my treatments and treatments plans to implement this as necessary. This is important for all animal welfare.
Insurance and Registering Bodies
I am currently insured with Pet Business Insurance, and a part of the following registering body, IAAT.
